Marley Vebares, MFTC
Marley (she/her) is a therapist who works with individuals and couples who feel like they're running on empty—whether that's from anxiety that never seems to ease, perfectionism that makes rest feel impossible, or a pattern of putting everyone else first while losing touch with what they actually need. Many of the people Marley works with have spent so long trying to be "enough" that they've forgotten who they are underneath all the striving. She also works with young adults navigating big questions about identity and purpose, and has a particular passion for supporting high-achieving or gifted individuals who often feel burnt out or afraid to pursue their desires. .
She has experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and identity exploration. Through premarital counseling, she guides premarital couples in building a strong foundation before they say "I do," uses Emotionally Focused Therapy with couples trapped in cycles of conflict, disconnection, or recovering from infidelity, and couples navigating the difficult decision of whether to stay together or separate through Discernment Counseling. She creates space to move beyond painful patterns and toward deeper understanding and trust.
Marley is dedicated to co-creating a space where clients are empowered to explore their emotions, rewrite the stories they tell about themselves, and rediscover their authenticity. Her approach emphasizes the innate ability of all people to grow, heal, and transform. Her work is grounded in the belief that you're not broken—your patterns make sense in the context of your life, and therapy is about helping you access what's already there.
Marley is committed to continuous learning, cultural sensitivity, and fostering an inclusive space where people of all races, gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. She welcomes and cherishes the diverse identities and experiences clients bring to the therapy room.
Marley holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Regis University. She is currently pursuing certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based, attachment-oriented approach that helps people recognize the emotional cycles that keep them stuck and supports them in creating more secure, responsive, and loving connections. She has completed Level 1 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy and has received training in Narrative Therapy.
Before pursuing a career in counseling, Marley worked in public relations, corporate communication, and consulting. While helping companies grow their business and relate to audiences, she discovered a passion for getting to the heart of authentic connection and improving communication—skills that now shape her approach to therapy.
Outside of the therapy room, Marley enjoys reading, writing, playing with her cat Fennel, and spending time in nature.
