Stephanie Brummond, MFTC
Stephanie Brummond (she/her) works with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, life transitions, religious deconstruction, relationship challenges, and self-esteem. She is especially drawn to the work of helping clients build more secure and meaningful relationships.
Stephanie earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University in North Carolina. She is training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based model that helps individuals and couples shift relational patterns and tendencies in order to deepen emotional connection and understanding. Stephanie is also trained in Narrative Therapy and somatic approaches, and has completed Levels I and II of the Gottman Method.
Stephanie brings a calm, grounding presence to the therapy room. She encourages a sense of softening and slowing down to create space for emotional awareness, and views emotions not as an interruption to the work, but as an integral part of the work itself. Stephanie is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who strives to create an inclusive, warm, and compassionate environment where clients of all identities and backgrounds feel truly seen and supported.
Prior to therapy, Stephanie worked in outdoor industries and as a yoga instructor. In each of those spaces, she found herself most drawn to the relational aspects of these careers, which ultimately led her to pursue therapy. Her experience teaching yoga continues to inform her therapeutic work, gently encouraging clients to slow down and drop into their felt experience.
Outside of the therapy, Stephanie enjoys rock climbing, trail running, and spending time outdoors. She continues to teach yoga and finds healing in nature, movement, and connection with others. Her session rates are $160/50 minutes and $240/75 minutes.
